Meet Jono & PJ
The Brainchild of The Waste Project is Jono Kraenzlin who works for Sentinel Homes Waikato. Jono has been in the construction industry for 18 years. He was sick of seeing the huge amount of construction waste end up in landfill. Jono approached Managing Director of Sentinel Homes, Nate Alley with an idea and from there The Waste Project was born.
The Waste Projects first employee is PJ Haworth, who helped start Raglan’s Xtreme Zero Waste, a center that diverts 75-80% of waste from landfills. As our waste manager, PJ oversees waste management on our building sites. He uses customised bag stations to separate recyclable materials, while reusable items are stored at our leased shed in Te Kowhai.
